Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ExploreMap, available at exploremap.co. By using ExploreMap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
ExploreMap helps users record, organize, import, export, and visualize destinations, trips, visits, travel legs, notes, tags, and photos. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to save personal travel data. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and promptly update it if it changes.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of the destinations, trips, notes, photos, imports, and other content you add to ExploreMap. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and transmit your content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
You are responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to upload or share it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise violates these Terms.
In particular, you may not upload sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise offensive photos or content, and you may not upload copyrighted material unless you own it or have obtained the necessary rights or authorization to use it. We may remove content that violates this policy and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use ExploreMap for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or compromise the service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
- Upload malware or content that violates another person's rights.
- Upload sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise offensive photos or content.
- Upload copyrighted material without proper ownership or authorization to use it.
- Scrape, copy, or resell the service except as allowed by law or written permission.
5. Third-Party Services
ExploreMap may rely on third-party services for authentication, maps, geocoding, hosting, storage, and other infrastructure. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using ExploreMap, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
7. No Travel, Safety, or Legal Advice
ExploreMap is an organizational tool. It does not provide travel, visa, immigration, health, safety, financial, or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying travel requirements and conditions before making travel decisions.
8. Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Paid ExploreMap Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and paid access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
Your first ExploreMap Pro payment is refundable if you request a refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting support@exploremap.co. Renewal charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
9. Disclaimers
ExploreMap is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data will never be lost.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ExploreMap and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the service.
11. Termination
You may stop using ExploreMap at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if continued operation is no longer practical.
Free Scout accounts may be locked after one year with no account activity. A locked inactive account can be reactivated by signing in during the grace period. If it is not reactivated within 90 days after locking, the account and saved travel content may be deleted.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they were last updated. Continued use of ExploreMap after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
