We just added a 3D flythrough to ExploreMap, and Zheng He's treasure fleet is the first trip to get it. Instead of a flat map, the same route now plays out on a rotating globe — the fleet banking into each turn as it crosses the South China Sea, threads the Strait of Malacca, and works up the Malabar Coast port by port.
It's the same seven-voyage itinerary from our earlier post — Nanjing to Hormuz, Jeddah, and the Swahili Coast — just seen from orbit this time, with each stop's date and note surfacing as the camera arrives.
